Services

Owner and Owner Reps

Every project needs a schedule. It is as necessary as the contract and the budget. It enables you to follow the progress of your project with a full understanding of each participant’s role in its success. It gives you a clear vision of the road ahead and a tool to monitor progress as it unfolds. I can help you evaluate the schedule your contractor has provided you or develop one for your project that you can have confidence in.

General Contractors

Some general contractors have not adopted scheduling into their project management practices. This can be an obstacle to bidding on some projects where a schedule is part of the bid document requirements.

I can provide scheduling services to your business operations, opening doors for you and demonstrating what you have been missing all these years.

A true Critical Path Management schedule enables all the stake-holders to understand their responsibilities and expectations in the project so they can perform on time and prevent unnecessary delays.

A well scheduled and managed project runs more predictably and enables subcontractors to perform their tasks more efficiently. This can reduce costs when subs know that the project will be ready for them when they show up and they can schedule their crews with confidence that they will be able to do their job without interruption or delay.

Mentoring

I believe strongly in giving back to the community that I have worked with for the last 40 years. So I work with the next generation of superintendents to help them gain the skills they need to excel in the leadership role they have chosen.

Training

I offer training workshops in construction project scheduling for office and field personnel of general contractors who want to improve their profitability and productivity by incorporating scheduling into their management practices.

My primary objective is to provide training to management personnel to enable them to produce and manage robust construction schedules that will result in successful project outcomes.

Resources

I bring over 30 years of experience as a site superintendent on high-end custom residential construction to inform your project schedule. I have relationships with the highest quality craftsmen and artisans in the greater Bay Area.

  • VESDA - A totally concealed smoke detection system

  • DECOCAST - A fiberglass system that can mimic other materials such as stone, concrete, wood, and metals, yet is lightweight, waterproof, and resilient.

Damage Control

I am often brought onto existing projects that appear to be out of control. Either there is no schedule or a schedule was presented at the beginning of the project but it has been slipping and the finger pointing has begun. I can provide a new road map to completion that enables the Owner to plan toward a more realistic outcome, identify bottlenecks and roadblocks that require intervention, and keep a closer watch on future progress. Having a comprehensive schedule enables the design team to prioritize their resources to better meet the needs of the project.

Sustainability

I have designed, collaborated in, and built more than a dozen high-end residential projects that incorporated geothermal, photovoltaic. and battery storage systems.

I can assist your team in initial cost/benefit analysis and scheduling for these opportunities.

Total Quality Management

I am a strong advocate of the principles of Total Quality Management. I strive to incorporate these precepts into everything that I do. They are a huge part of planning for success.
