I was fortunate to work with Robin on a renovation of a 1930, French-vernacular home in Presidio Heights. We worked closely together for two years, and I cannot imagine how I or my team would have navigated the complexities involved in the project without Robin’s mentorship and guidance. Robin has a wealth of experience building and renovating fine and historic homes. His attention to detail is second-to-none. Robin is a superb communicator and problem solver.
I wish I could work with a builder with Robin’s skill and knowledge every day!

Several years ago, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Robin on a large complex bespoke private residence which had to begin construction before all of the design decisions were complete. Part of Robin’s charge was developing and maintaining concurrent, interlinked schedules for both construction and design decisions, keeping an eye on critical path items, in a fluid environment whereby design information continued to unfold as construction progressed. As part of this, he worked with the construction crew to execute significant mockups that informed the client’s decisions as well as allowed the workers to test custom conditions. With his years of working on custom residences, he brings knowledge and experience that balances the big picture - maintaining the schedule, preserving the design intent - with an attention to detail required to execute such projects.

Robin Beauchamp is one of the best site superintendents that we have ever worked with in 25 years of business practice in San Francisco. His field experience with building types, construction methods and materials combined with his organized project schedule and information processes, plus his calm, diligent approach to the construction process and problem-solving results in a well-run, well-made project. We appreciated his attentiveness to the entire site, in addition to the buildings. Not every contractor feels confident about providing recommendations on both exterior and interior issues; we found Robin to always have sage advice on field conditions and revisions. I am sure that Robin’s experience with the benefits of organized, comprehensive work schedules would benefit any project.

I had the opportunity to work with Robin on a few significant residences in the past while he was working at Ryan Associates. He was by far their best veteran Superintendent and often was the lead on the larger more demanding projects ($20-40 million budget range). Not only was Robin an incredible asset and team leader but he was also great to work with.
Recently I reconnected with Robin and discovered that he is now working as a consultant helping companies develop in-house training for project management and scheduling. I hope that I described that correctly. I realize that many contractors have great systems in place but I would suggest that a conversation / meeting with him would be very interesting and possibly a good fit for your company’s ongoing development.

Robin is one of the most experienced Superintendent / Project Managers that I have had the pleasure of working with in my 35 years of designing high-end residential projects. His deep knowledge of building was instrumental in helping the team arrive at efficient and beautiful solutions to complex construction problems. We collaborated on a historic home that required the restoration of carved stone details and wood moldings and the insertion of large steel structural frames to seismically upgrade the home. Robin introduced the team to an amazing artisan that was able to recreate these exterior architectural elements in durable fiberglass saving both time and money. His calm and thoughtful approach was refreshing and his organization of construction sequences helped the project to run smoothly.
